The Centre for Musicians, muzyQ, in Amsterdam was built by the Foundation Orfeos Studio (S-O-S). This unique multipurpose centre for musicians, contains a wide variety of dedicated work and rehearsal spaces with supporting facilities such as a restaurant, recording studios and small and large auditorium for performances. From the outset in 2004 ToornendPartners supported S-O-S throughout this complex inner-city project, from the brief to all services regarding design, cost, time management and contracting. Stretching the limited means to a maximum and with an eye for sustainability, the fully fitted spaces offer excellent acoustics and logistics and minimal running costs. The building was opened in October 2009 by the then Mayor of Amsterdam, Mr. Job Cohen.
