Ateliers 63 Foundation is the owner of the national monument Stadhouderskade 86. This monumental building was built in 1875 by city architect Bastiaan de Greef. It is the oldest and most beautiful art academies in the Netherlands. Located close to the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. A conservatory was added in the 1950’s according to a design by Gerrit Rietveld. The building houses art studios and provides studio’s and workshops for young international artists over a working period of two years under the guidance of renowned artists. ToornendPartners also developed a multi-year maintenance plan for De Ateliers. To implement the plan, ToornendPartners provided the inspection report, the project description and applied for a grant (SIM) which was also awarded from the National Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE).
